Dominic Pandiscia, an executive at EMI since 1989, has been named the new president of Caroline, Capitol Music Group’s independent services division.

Pandiscia will oversee the company’s business services for independent labels, which include marketing and branding, lifestyle marketing, synchs and licensing, commercial development, finance and administration.

Pandiscia was previously EMI’s EVP of commercial & revenue development, and helped to bring the Beatles’ catalog to iTunes in 2010. Pandiscia also led the creation of EMI Label Services, working with artists such as Raekwon, Peter Gabriel and E40.

“With Dominic’s promotion to president and our renewed investment of resources in the expanded Caroline, we are committing to building partnerships with independent artists and labels, and providing them with the a la carte services they need to achieve their goals and expand their businesses,” Capitol EVP Michelle Jubelirer said in a statement. “Dominic brings decades of experience to his new position, and under his leadership, Caroline will be a vital component of the Capitol Music Group.”

Capitol chairman and CEO Steve Barnett wrote that Pandiscia “will be instrumental in the growth of Caroline, and integral to the overall success of the Capitol Music Group.”

Pandiscia is the latest in a long line of executive appointments made in the months since Barnett was officially named chairman/CEO in November, including Jubelirer, Todd von MendeGreg Thompson and Ron Spaulding, among others. [Billboard.biz]
