Remember back in the day when The Rock had that song with Wyclef Jean? It Doesn’t Matter, but in the case that you were hoping for another hip-hop/wrestling partnership, Diddy and WWE have teamed up together for WrestleMania 29 on April 7th.
WrestleMania 29′s official theme song is Diddy-Dirty Money’s “Coming Home“. Diddy is going to be doing a live performance and will also be co-hosting the “Superstars for Sandy Relief” party with WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon to kick off WrestleMania Week festivities with Mayor Michael Bloomberg. The “Superstars for Sandy Relief” party is on Thursday, April 4th at Cipriani Wall Street. Part of the party is the online charitable fundraiser auction where Diddy “is offering the opportunity to be an intern for a day at his world-renowned entertainment company Bad Boy Records and learn what it takes to manage today’s top artists. All proceeds will benefit The Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City and Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund.”
Diddy will also serve as an ambassador for WWE’s Be a STAR anti-bullying initiative which was “co-founded by WWE and the Creative Coalition to encourage young people to treat each other with tolerance and respect.”
Diddy had this to say about his new partnership, “WrestleMania is one of the biggest spectacles in the world and I’m looking forward to performing in front of millions on April 7,” said Combs. “I’ve always been a fan of WWE and I’m excited to support these two important causes, Superstars for Sandy Relief and the Be a STAR anti-bullying initiative.”
Make sure to catch WWE’s WrestleMania 29 airing live on Pay-Per-View April 7th.
