Big Machine Label Group president and CEO Scott Borchetta has signed with CAA, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned.

Ten years ago Borchetta founded the first of Big Machine’s five record labels (plus a music publishing company), with Taylor Swift being among his first signees. The roster now includes such country stars as Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Florida Georgia Line, The Band Perry, Brantley Gilbert, Reba McEntire, Martina McBride, Justin Moore, Eli Young Band and The Mavericks. Collectively, the BMLG roster has been responsible for more than 50 No. 1 songs.

This year Borchetta stepped in front of the camera to serve as mentor for American Idol’s 14th season, and Big Machine Records/Universal will release the winner’s album. BMLG’s television involvement also includes serving as the home to ABC’s Nashville soundtracks, part of the 50 million total albums and more than 100 million single downloads that the company has sold.

In film, Borchetta executive produced the documentary Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me as well as its companion soundtrack. Its lead single, “I’m Not Gonna Miss You,” won this year’s Grammy for best country song and was nominated for the best original song Oscar.

CAA will help the veteran music executive and burgeoning TV personality create more opportunities across multiple platforms, including film, television and theater. Borchetta recently was named No. 23 on Billboard’s Power 100 and in May will receive the Music Business Association’s Presidential Award. He also has been honored with the Country Music Association’s Jo Walker-Meador Award for his efforts to expand country music’s reach beyond the United States.
