Gucci Mane has a penchant for reeling in new talent. With budding acts such as Young Dolph, Ralo and Hoodrich Pablo Juan bubbling under his tutelage, Gucci is hoping to expand his 1017 Brick Squad roster by signing Lil Pump.

Last week, Pump became a free man after his contract with Warner Bros. Records was voided. Sources revealed to Billboard that Pump signed his contract when he was 16 years old and that his signing was never certified by the courts, making him an independent artist.

Gucci’s interest became apparent after Pump posted a picture on Instagram and left a comment that said: “Fuck It. I’ma sign Lil Pump to Lil Pump.” Guwop caught wind of his statement and replied, “1017 you name the price.”

Pump and Guwop have paired up before on a track, most recently on the 17 year old’s song “Youngest Flexer.” For Guwop, adding Pump onto his roster would serve as a huge plus to his 1017 imprint.  Pump’s single “Gucci Gang” peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 while his self-titled effort debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 last October.
