Whatever your ambition is in the Entertainment Industry, you have to know from the get-go that it’s going to be tough. You want to be a Rockstar? It’s not an easy ride. You want to be a Director? It’s just as tough. Jordan Bahat knew early on that he wanted to be a feature-film Director, and he decided to get started just as early. As a young teenager, he got his hands on some editing software and began teaching himself how to edit. He wasn’t lucky enough to procure a camera to shoot his own footage, so Jordan got creative and found some interesting footage to start harnessing his editing skills. Once he developed a solid base as an editor, he felt the next step in his journey was to pursue formal education in Film Production at USC. It was at USC where he had two instances of Timing & Lighting that helped further his ambitions to directing films, and ultimately becoming a Music Video Director. Listen to Jordan talk about his own unique and diverse path that started as a teenager editing “experimental” films to ultimately directing Music Videos for bands like Grouplove, Fun., and Fitz and the Tantrums!
