This past Wednesday, Amazon announced that their music streaming service, Cloud Player will now be available to iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad users to play music in Ford Sync App Link enabled vehicles following the February availability to Android users. These vehicles are the 2013 Ford Fiesta, Mustang, Focus, E-Series, C-Max Hybrid, Expedition, Fusion, F-150 and Super Duty. Music can be operated using voice recognition or dashboard controls.
Amazon’s Cloud Player was launched two years ago as a “music everywhere” streaming service and allows users to stream music files they’ve purchased from Amazon or uploaded to to a cloud-based storage locker. According to Mashable, up to 5 GB of MP3 (.mp3) and AAC (.m4a) files can be uploaded to the cloud and streamed wirelessly using one of Amazon’s players for free. Cloud storage packages starting at $20 per year for 20 GB.
