“Hold” logs a third week atop the Hot Digital Songs chart, decreasing by 8% to 241,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It leads the subscription services-based On-Demand Songs survey for a fourth frame and slips 2-3 on Streaming Songs, drawing 5.9 million streams (down 3%), according to Nielsen BDS. It rises 5-4, however, on Hot 100 Airplay (121 million all-format audience impressions, up 9%, according to BDS).
“Hold” racks a fourth week at No. 1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Rap Songs charts.
P!nk’s former three-week Hot 100 No. 1 “Just Give Me a Reason,” featuring fun.’s Nate Ruess, spends a second week at No. 2 and adds a new honor: it lifts 2-1 on Hot 100 Airplay (136 million, up less than 1%) to become her third leader on the list. She previously ruled Hot 100 Airplay for three weeks last fall with “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” and for six frames in 2001 with “Lady Marmalade,” with Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim and Mya. “Reason” keeps at No. 2 on Hot Digital Songs after leading for four weeks (230,000, down 10%) and drops 6-7 on Streaming Songs (3.9 million, down 4%).
Justin Timberlake’s “Mirrors” (5-3) is the Hot 100’s top Airplay Gainer for a fourth consecutive week, marking his longest streak of winning the award. He’d linked three straight weeks of earning the honor in October 2006 with “My Love,” featuring T.I. “Mirrors” moves 3-2 on Hot 100 Airplay (131 million, up 10%), while remaining at No. 3 on Hot Digital Songs (168,000, down 5%). It rebounds 11-10 on Streaming Songs (3.7 million, up 3%).
Bruno Mars’ former No. 1 “When I Was Your Man” reverses course (5-4) on the Hot 100 and passes 3 million in sales since its release, becoming his sixth title to reach the milestone.
Rihanna’s “Stay,” featuring Mikky Ekko, rounds out the Hot 100 top five (4-5).
Selena Gomez soars to her first Hot 100 top 10, as “Come & Get It” blasts 14-6 with the chart’s top Streaming Gainer nod. It rockets 36-4 on Streaming Songs (5.7 million, up 264%) following the premiere of its video on May 7. The song also jumps 9-6 on Hot Digital Songs (143,000, up 24%) and 35-24 on Hot 100 Airplay (43 million, up 13%). It becomes her first top 10 on the Mainstream Top 40 radio airplay chart (15-10).
Gomez garners her first hot 100 top 10 after 11 prior appearances (10 with her backing band the Scene and one as part of an all-star collaboration) dating to her first in 2009. She’d risen as high as No. 20 with “Send It On,” billed to Disney’s Friends for Change (Gomez, Miley Cyrus, Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato) in 2009, while climbing to No. 21 with “Who Says” in 2011 and No. 22 with “Love You Like a Love Song” last year.
“Get” previews Gomez’s first album on her own, “Stars Dance.” Her Stars Dance Tour kicks off with a Canadian leg on Aug. 14 in Vancouver; heads to Europe on Aug. 30; and comes stateside on Oct. 10 for U.S. dates through Nov. 27.
Macklemore & Lewis’ former six-week No. 1 “Thrift Shop,” featuring Wanz, descends 6-7 on the Hot 100 and passes 6 million in release to date download sales. It’s just the 20th song to crack 6 million downloads sold since SoundScan began tracking digital sales approximately 10 years ago.
Imagine Dragons’ “Radioactive” holds at No. 8 on the Hot 100 (after reaching No. 7 six weeks ago) and dominates Hot Rock Songs for an eighth week. It pushes 8-6 on Streaming Songs (4.2 million, up 8%) and 52-41 on Hot 100 Airplay (32 million, up 19%).
Icona Pop’s debut hit “I Love It,” featuring Charli XCX, dips 7-9 on the Hot 100, although it rises 10-8 on Hot 100 Airplay (70 million, up 13%) and bullets at No. 21 on Streaming Songs (2.5 million, up 5%).
Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise” navigates 9-10 on the Hot 100, charting a 26-15 course on Hot 100 Airplay (48 million, up 13%). With 151,000 downloads sold, it passes 3 million in sales to date.
The Hot 100’s highest debut belongs to Mariah Carey’s “#Beautiful,” featuring Miguel, which begins at No. 24. The track launched on Hot 100 Airplay at No. 44 last week with 31 million impressions after just two days of airplay, aided heavily on its first day (May 6) by coordinated airplay on Clear Channel Media and Entertainment stations. This week, with that hefty first day of spins now in the previous tracking period, “#Beautiful” maintains its No. 44 Hot 100 Airplay rank and 31 million in audience (up less than 1%). Following its first full week of sales, it enters Hot Digital Songs at No. 10 (114,000), marking her eighth top 10 on the tally and first since “Obsessed” reached No. 6 in 2009. “#Beautiful” falls shy of the Streaming Songs chart with 461,000 first-week streams.
The lead single from Carey’s forthcoming 13th studio album charges 32-7 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and 16-2 on R&B Songs and debuts at No. 1 on R&B Digital Songs.
