David Fincher, known for directing both music videos for A-list acts such as The Rolling Stones, Madonna, JAY Z and Justin Timberlake and movies like Se7en, Gone Girl and The Social Network, is set to helm a forthcoming series for HBO.

According to Deadline, the show will be titled Living On Video, and will be a half-hour comedy about the music industry in the Los Angeles of 1983. The show will structurally resemble Entourage, and will feature a protagonist named Bobby, who is a college dropout in search of a career in directing sci-fi epics in Hollywood. Fincher will work alongside co-writers Rich Wilkes and Bob Stevenson, who are both collaborators from his early directing days. At the moment, the show has been approved by the network and casting has commenced. We will keep you updated on this.
