Def Jam Recordings promoted Rob Caiaffa to vice president, marketing. Caiaffa previously served as senior director, marketing & development.

Sony Music Nashville appointed Fount Lynch as vice president, media. Lynch previously served as director, media marketing for Universal Music Group Nashville.

The Madison Square Garden Company announced Scott Henry as executive vice president and chief technology officer, joining from Nielsen Audio where he served as executive vice president and chief information officer.

DJ Humberto “El Gato” Rodriguez, a mainstay of Miami’s morning commute with his radio show on Mega 94.9 FM, announced a new home at the SBS-owned WRMA (95.7 FM), with his El Show del Gato occurring every weekday morning from 6-11 AM.

Dion “No I.D.” Wilson was promoted to executive vice president of Def Jam Recordings, overseeing all A&R activities at the label. Wilson, who previously served as co-head of A&R, will continue to oversee his own label, ARTium Records (Jhene Aiko, Common).

Atlantic Records appointed Nina Webb and David Grant to vp/co-heads of the label’s pop & rock marketing department. Webb previously served as vp of marketing at A&M/Octone Records, while Grant served as vp of marketing at Island Def Jam.

Pledge Music appointed Dan Ghosh-Roy as head of marketing & digital strategy, overseeing all global marketing initiatives including brand messaging, social media, digital amplification, and product marketing. Previously Ghosh-Roy served as svp of digital strategy, development & operations at Ultra Music.

Russ Jones was promoted to vice president, video network relationships & branding, RCA Records — responsible for all video promotion and branding campaigns for RCA across all video network outlets. Previously, he served as vice president, promotion & lifestyle marketing.

Primary Wave acquired Evolution Management — part of a major expansion of Primary Wave’s existing in-house film/TV development, management and production division. Primary Wave also appointed Steven Greener as senior partner of the talent management Division. Greener’s recent talent signings to the Primary Wave Management roster include Melissa Etheridge, Natalie Imbruglia, TANK, and Jane Lynch.

Republic Records promoted Rob Harvey from senior director of Top 40 to vice president of Top 40.

Man Made Music hired Kevin Perlmutter as svp, chief strategist. Perlmutter previously acted as senior director of brand partnerships at Interbrand.

C.J. Strock joined William Morris Endeavor from a previously held position as vice president at Podell Talent Agency.

New West Records appointed John Allen as president of New West Records, New West Independent Music Publishing and the label’s developing artist imprint, Normaltown Records. Allen joins New West from BMG Chrysalis, where he served as vice president.
