For the second visual companion from their forthcoming Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance, the indie pop band out of Glasgow shared their music video for “Nobody’s Empire,” with their first video extract coming from their other single, “The Party Line.” Here Stuart Murdoch, the band’s lead singer and songwriter, worked closely with director Blair Young in putting together fan-submitted clips as well as video footage taken from National Library of Scotland and the Prelinger Archive. Much of the video centers around the lovely Tamzin Merchant who lip syncs her way through this conceptual piece in which Murdoch claims is “the most personal song [he’s] ever written.” Press play above and stay tuned for more from Bell and Sebastian‘s album which releases on January 20.
