Music Supervisor Awards Nominees Announced, Include 'American Hustle,' 'Her,' 'Breaking Bad'

The music supervisors who oversaw music for best picture the Oscar contenders “American Hustle,” “The Wolf of Wall Street,” “Gravity” and “Her” are among the nominees for the fourth annual Guild of Music Supervisors Awards.

Awards will be given out in 14 categories on Feb. 26 at Mack Sennett Studios in Hollywood. This year sees the introduction of a single new category, documentary.

Motion pictures are divided into three categories based on the budgets of the films. For movies with budgets of more than $35 million, the nominees are “American Hustle,” Susan Jacobs; “The Great Gatsby,” Anton Monsted; “The Internship,” Dave Jordan and Jojo Villanueva; “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty,” George Drakoulias; and “The Wolf of Wall Street,” Randall Poster.

Films with budgets between $10 million and $35 million, the nominees are “Inside Llewyn Davis,” T Bone Burnett; “Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa,” Ben Hochstein; “Peeples,” Joel C High; “Saving Mr. Banks,” Matt Sullivan; and “Warm Bodies,” Alex Patsavas. Nominations for films under $10 million are “The Bling Ring,” Brian Reitzell; “Francis Ha, George Drakoulias; “The Place Beyond the Pines,” Gabe Hilfer; “Thanks For Sharing, Robin Urdang”; and “The Spectacular Now,” Gabe Hilfer and Season Kent.

Other categories include television, games, trailers and advertising.
