In the summer of 2004 photographer Brian David Stevens rose early to photograph the speaker rigs and soundsystems of the Notting Hill Carnival before the crowds arrived.
To celebrate the world famous carnival this weekend we’ve condensed some of the best into a one-page story so you can see all the of soundsystems before the dancing begins.
