Let the layoff season begin! Billboard announced today that Sony is rumored to have plans of firing 10,000 of it’s workers this year. The tech giant is looking to cut salaries to return to profitability. The companies TV sales are in the dump (who owns a Sony TV anymore?) and other losses are beginning to grow. No word how many of these jobs, if any will be cut from the music side of their company. All I know is, that’s a whole lot of people that are going to be looking for employment in the coming year.
