Jay-Z recently rolled out a $10 million renovation of the flagship branch of his 40/40 Club, but the rapper isn’t stopping there. Word has it that he will open a new NYC location at Barclays Center, the new stadium being built in Brooklyn that will play host to the Brooklyn Nets (sorry, NJ). The restaurant will be 9,000 square feet will be designed by SHoP Architects and will be tricked out like the original – think flat screen televisions everywhere and a bar top made of illuminated amber resin.
The joint will also offer stellar views of the basketball court, but b-ball isn’t the only event the stadium will play host to. The restaurant will reportedly be ready by September 28 this year, when the arena hosts Jay Z for a concert on its opening night. –Allindstrom
