Amazon has launched an upgraded version of its Cloud Player, after securing agreements with such major labels as Sony, EMI and Universal. The new version incorporates the same scan and match technology as iTunes Match, which will scan the user’s hard drive and match any music found there with the 20 million songs in its servers. Amazon will then stream that song from its servers to virtually any device with Internet connection, including Android or iOS devices. This is big news for Amazon, who has tried hard to incorporate the cloud into their music application.
