The LA Times is reporting on the protests from over 100 musicians spanning all genres, who oppose the attempts by music streaming service Pandora to reduce the amount of money they are currently required to pay artists for playing their music. The artists protesting include Katy Perry, Cee Lo, George Clinton, Ne Yo, Stevie Nicks and Britney Spears, to name a few. Pandora argues that compared to broadcast radios, the amount of money they pay artists is huge. Will this be a compelling enough argument to get Congress to agree? We’ll see.
