Joe Riccitelli has been named executive vice president/GM of RCA Records, the label announced today. He was previously EVP, Promotion, RCA Records.
Riccitelli will now oversee the Music Licensing and Brand Partnership departments which will continue to be run by Karen Lamberton. He will also continue to spearhead all pop promotions for the label. He will continue to report to Tom Corson, President & COO, RCA Records and be based in the company’s New York headquarters.
Riccitelli began his career at Polygram Records in 1985 where he was SVP, Promotion, Island Label Group from 1995-1999. He joined Jive Records in February 1999 as Senior Vice President, Promotion and held that position until 2007 when he was named Executive Vice President of Promotion. In 2011, he was appointed Executive Vice President, Promotion, RCA Records, which was then newly re-launched. Most recently, Riccitelli has led his team to secure hit records for P!nk, Kelly Clarkson, Alicia Keys and Ke$ha.
