At Business Inside: Ignition Conference, the big wigs over at Vevo stated that they have paid $200 million in revenue to artists since its founding in 2009. If true, that would make it far and away the friendliest royalty rate amongst music-video services and would be a good look for Vevo, as many services which are using artist music are catching heat for not paying enough. If that wasn’t enough, Vevo head Rio Caraeff stated that the service would be paying even more for 2012. Good for Vevo.
