Let’s talk Best New Artist nominees, shall we? ATO‘s The Alabama Shakes–who have just been confirmed as musical guests on the Feb. 16 installment of Saturday Night Live(hosted by Django Unchained co-star Christoph Waltz)–bring soul-inflected rock into the 21st Century, thanks in large part to powerhouse lead singer Brittany Howard.
