Capitol Music Group Chairman & CEO Steve Barnett today announced the appointment of longtime Universal Music Group financial executive Todd von Mende as its chief financial officer.
“Todd’s financial acumen and leadership skills have been highly regarded within the Universal Music Group for many years,” Steve Barnett said in a srtatment. “I couldn’t be happier that he is now a member of my senior management team and will be playing such an important role in the growth and development of Capitol Music Group.”
Von Mende has been with UMG since 2001, most recently serving as CFO of Universal Music Group Distribution and overseeing UMG’s integration of EMI. Prior to joining UMG, von Mende was an executive with the Walt Disney Company. He also launched 23 Frames, a film production company, and produced, wrote and directed the film “Easier Said.”
