Pandora announced today that Michael Herring has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer.  Herring comes to Pandora from a positions as VP of Operations at Adobe Systems. He’s also done stints as EVP and CFO at Omniture. Pandora’s current CFO, Steven Cakebread, had said in August that he would leave the company soon to consider “industry-changing opportunities.”

Cakebread is known as one of a handful of serial CFOs who specialize in taking companies public and then don’t remain long after the initial public offering.In a statement announcing Herring’s appointment, Pandora President and CEO Joe Kennedy said, “Mike’s background is ideal for Pandora.
