The Red Bull Music Academy today announced the complete line-up for the 15th edition of its music festival and conference to be held in New York City this spring and which will include 230 artists playing 37 shows at 34 venues between April 28 – May 31.

Among the many scheduled events are: an installation of Brian Eno’s “77 Million Paintings;” Giorgio Moroder’s first-ever DJ set; a history of Dub performance with Lee Scratch Perry, Adrian Sherwood, the Congos and Sun Araw; the U.S. premiere of Oscar and Grammy Award winner Ryuichi Sakamoto and Alva Noto acclaimed “s” performance; a Masters at Work DJ set; Pantha Du Prince & The Bell Laboratory’s “Elements Of Light” show; and the 12th anniversary party for NYC’s DFA Records.

The RBMA will also present a series of interviews and discussions including: Erykah Badu at the Brooklyn Museum; separate interviews with three of David Bowie producers Tony Visconti, Ken Scott and Nile Rodgers at the New Museum; an illustrated talk with Brian Eno at Cooper Union; and a conversation with James Murphy at NYU.

The performances are all part of the Red Bull Music Academy which brings together two groups of 31 selected participants – producers, vocalists, DJs, instrumentalists and musicians from across the globe — to New York City. For two weeks, each group will hear lectures by musical luminaries and work together on tracks at a custom-built creative studio space in Chelsea designed by acclaimed architect Jeffrey Inaba. Academy participants will also perform in the city

The Academy began in 1998, and has been traversing the globe since: from Berlin to Cape Town, São Paulo, Barcelona, London, Toronto and other locales. This is the academy’s second New York edition.
