During an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, director Antoine Fuqua confirms that Eminem might finally be ready to finish up the long-awaited movie, Southpaw. When asked what he has lined up in the future, the first project Fuqua refers to is Southpaw, which he says is the project he wants to do next. When the Hollywood Reporter mentions that it was the Detroit rapper he has been waiting for, Fuqua indicates that he was waiting on Em to finish up recording his new album. “I think he is finally finished with that,” Fuqua claimed in the interview.
If the director is right, it looks like Eminem fans will have two things to anticipate in the next year: Southpaw and the follow-up to Recovery, Shady’s eighth studio LP.
