The MTVu Woodie Awards, an annual award show held in Austin, Texas during SXSW to cater to the taste of the college demographic. Hosted by Machine Gun Kelly and Tegan and Sara, the awards show saw performances from Travi$ Scott (who brought out special guest T.I.), Pusha T, and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. Meanwhile, awards were handed out to Earl Sweatshirt (Breaking Woodie), Macklemore and Ryan Lewis (Branching Out Woodie), Danny Brown (Best Music Video), and MGK (Woodie of the Year) himself. Hip-hop is definitely a major genre amongst the youth, and the culture was well-represented.
