The Madison Square Garden Co. has sold the 3.9 million shares it owned of Live Nation at approximately $44 million dollars. These shares amounted to a two-percent stake in the company. MSG had initially made this acquisition when Live Nation bought Front Line Management Group.
Last month, MSG chairman James Dolan resigned from the board of Live Nation.
