Spotify is looking to strike a major deathblow to its rival Pandora in the global market of the very competitive free music streaming lane.

The company appears to be in talks with record labels to allow it to offer listeners more free mobile streaming options and will also expand its boundaries beyond the twenty countries it currently operates in. Pandora, in comparison, only works in the United States, Australia, and New Zealand.

Spotify is also hoping to use these negotiations as an opportunity to reduce payments it makes to label. The company uses its free streaming to entice customers to purchase premium subscription services.
