A2IM, the American Association for Independent Music, recently announced the full slate of nominees, which include both artists and labels said to represent the best of the independent community.

Nominees are chosen by select members of the independent music industry themselves, with an eligibility period spanning March 1, 2012 to February 28, 2013. Last year’s winners included Bon Iver for Album of the Year and Daptone Records for Independent Label of the Year (5 employees or less).
