Following its high energy set on the opening day of this year’s Coachella festival, Billboard caught up with the Neighbourhood backstage.
The guys were hanging with their tour manager Ellis Bertschi (Flipped House Partnership) and manager Kirk Harding from Crowd Control. The Neighbourhood is gearing up to release its new album, “I Love You,” on April 23. For the ablum, the band worked with the team, who also produced its 2005 EP “The Beginnings & Endings.”
“We are really pumped about our album. If it came out before Coachella it would have been really cool but we are just excited to have it out soon,” Neighbourhood guitarist Jeremy Freedman said. When asked how they were going to celebrate the release, the band replied, “with a big mansion party in L.A.”
Following their chat with Billboard, the Neighbourhood scampered off to do some press and were hoping to take some time off with its management team, who were looking forward to seeing the Stone Roses, Alt-J, Beach House, Local Natives and Band of Horses. [Billboard.biz]
