Ticketmaster has promoted longtime U.K. managing director Chris Edmonds to chairman of Ticketmaster UK and EVP of international strategic partnerships, it was announced today.
As Music Week explained, Edmonds has spent the last eight years with Ticketmaster, guiding the company through its merger with Live Nation and overseeing its handling of the London Olympics.
“As we continue to expand our international business operations, Edmonds’s extensive knowledge and understanding of the ticketing and live event industries will be an invaluable addition to our international executive team,” said Mark Yovich, president of Ticketmaster International in a statement.
Edmonds continued: “This is a time of great transformation and opportunity within the international ticketing industry, and I am looking forward to working with the international executive team to help to shape Ticketmaster’s future business strategy.” [Billboard.biz]
