Former Mighty, Mighty Bosstones guitarist Nate Albert has been upped to SVP A&R for Republic Records by EVP A&R Rob Stevenson. Albert has held the position of VP A&R since 2008. His role will continue to be developing and signing new artists. Among his signings are The Weeknd. He also orchestrated the release of the Les Miserables soundtrack, while discovering new artists Phantogram and The Colourist. Albert helped form the Mighty, Mighty Bosstones at 13, and played with the group through the release of 2000’s Pay Attention. After his stint on the stage, he received a degree at Brown University in Providence, RI. He became an A&R consultant for Republic in 2006. [HitsDailyDouble]
