Ludacris is being sued over ownership of one of his songs.
The Atlanta rapper is being sued by Marvo, another emcee, who claims he came up with the original concept of “Sex Room,” a 2010 track of Luda’s featuring Trey Songz..
According to AOL, Marvo had been working with a producer, Kajun, who then turned over the song to Ludacris.
Marvo also claims that he has never received any payment for the song, despite that fact that Luda allegedly used many of Marvo’s lyrics.
The value of the suit has not been revealed.
“Sex Room” appeared on Ludacris’ Battle of the Sexes album, which is his most recent studio release. The album was originally conceptualized as a collaborative album with Shawnna, but the plan never materialized.
Luda has since been working on Ludaversal, which he plans to release in the fall. He released his #IDGAF mixtape in May.
Ludacris’ Disturbing Tha Peace label was named in a lawsuit over DTP duo Playaz Circle’s Trademark in 2012.
