Whoa—Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines,” which cleared the 300k plateau the previous week, comes within shouting distance of 400k on the latest sales chart, equating to an 18% jump. There’s also drama just below the pinnacle, as Imagine Dragons’ “Radioactive” (see Iovine item below), posting a +8%, jumping #5-2 to leapfrog Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise” (-9%) and grab the #2 slot; both sold north of 200k. The Daft Punk/Pharrell Williams combo posted its second straight 1% gain to come within 5k of the gold standard, while Blake Shelton heats up at the climax of The Voice’s season, climbing #11-6 on a +10%. Avril Lavigne, who’s been doing some TV herself of late, makes an even bigger hop, skip and jump, moving up 16 slots from #23. And Fall Out Boy (+26%, #18-10) continues to bounce like a red rubber ball, returning to the Top 10 for the third time if we’re not mistaken, although we usually are…mistaken, that is.
