At Movement Festival 2013, we had the opportunity to sit down with world renowned DJ, producer, and one of the originators of techno music Kevin Saunderson and his son Dantiez Saunderson, an up-and-coming producer and former Dubspot student.

In our interview from Movement 2013, Kevin Saunderson speaks about growing up in Detroit with Derrick May and Juan Atkins. In the mid to late 1980s, Juan Atkins, Derrick May, and Kevin Saunderson developed a form of electronic dance music we know today as techno. In this interview Saunderson talks about bringing a Roland TR-909 drum machine to DJ gigs, adding the Yahama DX100 digital synthesizer to his production setup, and giving up a career in sports to pursue his passion for music.
