Evan Peters has been appointed as the Director of A&R for Virgin Records, according to an announcement made today by Ron Fair, the company’s chief creative officer and EVP.
“I told Evan to take the ball and run with it,” Fair said in a statement. “He has great record making skills, strong relationships in our community and I’m a hundred percent confident he will hit his stride as an A&R man of distinction at Virgin Records,” .
Under this new position, Peters’ responsibilities include scouting talent and engaging in general A&R duties for the label.
Peters’ previous A&R experience includes nine years as the A&R Manager at Interscope/Geffen/A&M, where he worked with a variety of artists including Nelly Furtado, Weezer, Rise Against, Lifehouse, and JoJo. He also co-produced and engineered The Bangles album, “Sweetheart Of The Sun,” and Houses’ “A Quiet Darkness” in 2011.
