Jeremih is taking his career to the next level with some help from Diddy. The R&B singer has hired the Bad Boy mogul as his manager.

“As of two months ago, P. Diddy and James Cruz actually took over my management,” Jeremih told Rap-Up TV at the ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards. “I’m out here doing a lot more work now.”

He was honored that Puff wanted to work with him. “I means a lot to me as an artist, as a writer. For Puff to acknowledge my talent and my gift, it’s a good thing.”

Diddy will also serve as executive producer of Jeremih’s upcoming album Thumpy Johnson, due in early 2014. “What I make is kind of like drugs for your ears,” he explained. “It’s definitely for the trunk, it’s definitely for the streets. It’s definitely for everybody. It’s a lot of thump for your trunk and just crack music for the streets.”

So far, the album features French Montana, Busta Rhymes, Diddy, and Lil Wayne, who appears on the lead single “All the Time.”
