Michelle Obama is making her own waves as the First Lady by releasing a hip hop inspired album for her campaign combating childhood obesity, fittingly named “Let’s Move!”.  Let’s Move! started back in February of 2010 and focuses on healthy eating and increasing physical activity for children.

The Let’s Move! album may not include Mrs. Obama’s own singing or rapping but has hip hop names including DMC of Run DMC and Doug E. Fresh as well as acts like Travis Barker, Ashanti, Jordin Sparks, and Kidz In The Hall emcee Naledge.

This wouldn’t be the first time the Let’s Move! campaign incorporated hip hop and it’s stars.  Back in 2011, Beyonce and Swizz Beatz partnered with Michelle Obama for a Let’s Move! flash workout called “Move Your Body”.  Before that, Master P and son Lil Romeo also partnered with the First Lady for her Let’s Move! campaign.
