The Pixies played a surprise warm-up show at the Echo in L.A. on Friday night, just before officially kicking off their world tour on Monday. According to Slicing Up Eyeballs, the band played six new songs during their 26-song set, giving their new single “Bagboy” its live debut along with three songs (“Another Toe,” “What Goes Boom” and “Indie Cindy”) from EP-1, which the band released last week.
Joined by new touring bassist Kim Shattuck, who came in to replace Kim Deal after the longtime member quit the band in June, the Pixies also played two unreleased songs, reportedly called “Blue Eyed Hexe” and “Greens and Blues.”
