Malcolm Young, founding member and rhythm guitarist for legendary hard rock band AC/DC, is currently in a nursing home facility in Sydney, Australia, where he’s receiving treatment for dementia.
The Young family connection said: “If you were in the room with [Malcolm Young] and walked out, then came back in one minute later, he wouldn’t remember who you are. He has a complete loss of short-term memory. His wife, Linda, has put him in full-time care.” (Via)
Despite how unbearably sad that is, AC/DC will keep on keeping on. The group will release a new album, Rock or Bust, in November, and go on a world tour, with Malcolm’s nephew, Steve, on guitar.
