Philly quartet sets sophomore LP for October 14 release
Philadelphia’s Little Big League — a foursome featuring former members of Strand of Oaks, Titus Andronicus, and rough-edged power-pop outfit Post Post — will release their second album this fall. Dubbed Tropical Jinx, the upcoming 10-track LP blends emotive indie-punk with post-rock haze, and is due out October 14 through Boston label Run For Cover Records. The band has shared the record’s jangly title track, which is driven by singer Michelle Zauner’s dynamic vocals. Enveloped with a canopy of resonant harmonies, “Tropical Jinx” pulls off dulcet flannel-rock comparable to that of Speedy Ortiz, in just under two minutes. Stream the track below.
