Miley Cyrus could face a fine or possibly even jail after one of her dancers spanked her with a Mexican flag during a recent live show in the country.
A state legislature asks the Mexican federal government to issue Cyrus with a fine after her Monterrey gig earlier this year, reports The Guardian.
Francisco Trevino, a local law official, confirmed that the state legislature had approved a warrant for the interior ministry to uphold the complaint against Cyrus and that she could be fined up to $1,200 (£735) or be detained for 36 hours.
Miley Cyrus recently shared a cover of Led Zeppelin’s ‘Babe I’m Gonna Leave You’. Cyrus’ version is titled ‘Baby, I’m Gonna Leave You’.
Meanwhile, Cyrus also gained entry into the Guinness Book of World Records for being the most searched-for pop star on the internet. This came after she named Elvis Presley as the “original twerker”.
