Another year, and the party with a purpose is back for another incredible event!

The Essence Music Festival has racked up some of the top performers, DJ’s, comedians, and speakers to appear and make this year bigger than its predecessors, but the anticipation grew stronger when TDE rapper Kendrick Lamar was announced as headliner for this year’s event. Joining K.Dot will be Mary J. Blige, Common, Erykah Badu, India.Arie, Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick, Mali Music, and so many more. The festival kicks off July 2nd through the 5th in New Orleans, at the famous Mercedes Benz Superdome.

Comedian and actor Kevin Hart will be headlining Essence’s ‘Now Playing’ concert on Thursday, July 2nd, the opening night. Hosting the festival weekend will be comedians Nephew Tommy, from the Steve Harvey Morning Show, and Luenell. More performers will be announced in the coming weeks, and tickets are on sale now for the star-studded weekend of entertainment.
