Nordic digital music distributor Phonofile has partnered with Nordic conference and showcase event by:Larm as a sponsor for the Nordic Music Prize – now under the name Phonofile Nordic Music Prize.
The Nordic Music Prize is an annual award for the Best Nordic Album Of The Year. Inspired by the Mercury Prize, it was introduced in 201 and initiated by by:Larm.
The winner of Phonofile Nordic Music Prize will receive a 30,000 NOK check, provided by GramArt, the organization for Norwegian artists and professional musicians. Previous winners include First Aid Kit (2013) and The Knife (2014).

The 12 nominees for this year’s Phonofile Nordic Music Prize will be announced by The Nordic Playlist on Wednesday, February 11. A winner will be announced at the Phonofile Nordic Music Prize event on March 5, which takes place during by:Larm (March 4-7).
