Kanye West made a surprise on-court appearance at Chicago’s United Center during his hometown Bulls’ Game Four matchup versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. After the rapper announced the contest’s starting lineup prior to tip-off, West staged an impromptu performance of his latest single “All Day” at center court during a timeout with 3:23 remaining in the first quarter, Bleacher Reports writes.

“Chicago’s own” West, who headlined KIIS’ annual Wango Tango festival Saturday night in Los Angeles, is no doubt a basketball fan; he recently changed the title of his upcoming album from So Help Me God to Swish, a sound often associated with a basketball shot that’s nothing but net. West was also shown sitting next to Bulls great Scottie Pippen during the game.

For Sunday’s Game Four, the Yeezus rapper played the role of hype man, getting the crowd juiced up while the Bulls and Cavs – both of whom did a valiant job of ignoring the “All Day” performance – talked strategy at their respective benches. However, as cameras followed West as he departed the court, you can see him briefly lock eyes with Cavaliers star LeBron James.

West also did his best to self-edit the “n-word” out of his United Center performance. During the rapper’s Wango Tango set the night before, he warned the audience prior to “All Day,” “The next song, I’m not really supposed to do it on radio this way, but if y’all don’t mind, I’m going to use the N-word a couple of times. Is that OK?”
