Part Time Punks

Hard to believe it’s been a decade since Part Time Punks brought its obsession with U.K. post-punk aesthetics to the Echo. In many ways, it was PTP that turned the venue into a hub for hordes of DIY-driven, vinyl record–collecting, ragged Converse–sporting young scenesters.

Capturing the madness and music of the Manchester Factory Records scene (as well as that of other indie labels such as Rough Trade and Fast Product), the club made it cool to boogie to punk and post-punk again, and it never faltered on the dance floor or onstage, showcasing great local and touring bands new and old.

This milestone bash is no exception. The extra-sweet live bill boasts Annabella of the original Bow Wow Wow, plus Geneva Jacuzzi and French Vanilla. As always, creator/DJ Michael Stock spins a mix of synthy, arty, gloomy, groovy wax that continues to fill the floor to the max, 10 years in and counting.
