Ariana Grande has signed an exclusive, worldwide publishing agreement with Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG).
The deal covers the singer’s entire catalog, including No.1 albums Yours Truly and My Everything, both released on Republic Records in 2013 and 2014, respectively.
Says UMPG chairman and CEO Jody Gerson in announcing the signing: “Ariana Grande’s global success is a testament to her incredible talent and instincts as an artist and a songwriter. We’re so pleased to be working with her, alongside her management and our partners at Republic, to represent her songs and help maximize opportunities around the world.”
Grande’s “Problem” (featuring Iggy Azalea), which she co-wrote, reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, her highest-charting single to date. My Everything has sold 633,000 album units to date, according to Nielsen Music.
Grande is managed by Jennifer Merlino and Stephanie Simon of Untitled Entertainment and Scooter Braun of SB Projects. [Billboard]
