Thirty Seconds to MarsJared Leto—musician, actor, director and entrepreneur—will hold forth on all those areas at a series of SXSW events,  including a screening of his award-winning documentary Artifact. Leto will sit for an exclusive Twitter Music conversation today at noon, at the Sonos Lounge (608 E. 3rd St.). Two hours later, he’ll be with Buzzfeed founder Jonah Peretti for a Fast Company Creative Conversation at The Cedar Door (201 Brazos St.). Tomorrow, he’ll be interviewed at the Austin Convention Center at 2 p.m. (500 E. Cesar Chavez St., Room 12AB) before a gala screening of Artifact at 4:30 p.m. at the Paramount Theater (713 Congress Ave.), followed by an invitation-only after party. His band’s latest experiment involved launching its new single “Up in the Air” into space on the SpaceX cargo mission, which was carrying more than 1,200 pounds of scientific experiments and cargo as well as the first copy of the single to the International Space Station. The song comes from the band’s fourth studio record, which will be released later this year. “Up in the Air”  will premiere worldwide on Monday, March 18, and be commercially available at all digital retailers the following day.
