Chris Brown’s legal issues keep piling up: the R&B singer was sued yesterday for assault and battery stemming from a January altercation between his entourage and Frank Ocean’s, The Associated Press reports.

Sha’keir Duarte claims he was attacked by a member of Brown’s entourage during a confrontation between Brown and Ocean, which occured on January 27th in the parking lot at Hollywood’s Westlake Recording Studios. Duarte claims he suffered a concussion (“as well as humiliation and mental anguish”) from the attack, and he’s seeking unspecified damanges in Los Angeles Superior Court.

The heavily publicized fight allegedly began after Brown parked in Ocean’s spot. Duarte claims the incident escalated quickly and that Brown threatened to shoot Ocean’s entourage.

Meanwhile, Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, says the allegations are off-base. “This is what gives lawyers and lawsuits a bad name is garbage like this,” he said. Geragos plans to countersue and ask that the lawsuit be dropped.

Earlier this month, Brown pleaded not guilty to hit-and-run charges following a May car crash. He recently tweeted that his upcoming LP, due out August 20th, will likely be his last.
