Kanye West has reacted angrily to a US chatshow’s parody of his extraordinary radio interview earlier this week.
On Tuesday night (September 24) Jimmy Kimmel Live sent up West’s interview with BBC Radio 1, during which the rapper declared himself the “Number One rockstar on the planet”, by having a child actor re-enact it while sipping on a chocolate milkshake. Watch the spoof above.
Yesterday evening (September 26) West took to Twitter to express his disappointment at the comedy sketch, writing: “JIMMY KIMMEL IS OUT OF LINE TO TRY AND SPOOF IN ANY WAY THE FIRST PIECE OF HONEST MEDIA IN YEARS.” Later in his rant, which eventually ran to 10 tweets, West added:
YOU CAN’T PUT YOURSELF IN MY SHOES. YOUR FACE LOOKS CRAZY… IS THAT FUNNY?… OR IF I HAD A KID SAY IT WOULD IT BE FUNNY???

The rapper also revealed he had called Kimmel to discuss the interview skit, writing over two tweets: “I LIKE YOU, YOU KNOW ME, I WENT TO YOUR FAMILY’S WEDDING… WHO YOU MADE IT CLEAR TO ME WASN’T YOUR FAMILY WHEN I WAS ON THEN PHONE WITH YOU 5 MINUTES AGO, YOU MANIPULATIVE MEDIA MUTHERFUCKER.”
West ended his rant by posting a picture of Kimmel with the caption “no good pussy” and another comparing the comedian’s face to that of children’s TV character Spongebob SquarePants.

“And that was really the only choice,” Kimmel continued. “The other choice he gave was ‘my life … your life is going to be much better if I apologise,’ and then he started tweeting today. And I don’t even know if I’ve seen some of these because they’re happening as we speak.”
