Jimmy Henchman was sentenced to life in prison today in a Brooklyn federal court. He had previously been convicted on charges of heading a massive nationwide drug trafficking operation. Henchman still faces conspiracy to murder charges in Manhattan over allegations of orchestrating a plot to kill an associate of 50 Cent. Henchman, whose real name is James Rosemond, used a musical equipment shipping company as a cover to run an $11 million illegal business.
Henchman’s had a lengthy career in the music industry. He was known for being the CEO of Czar Entertainment, and managed the careers of artists ranging from The Game to Sean Kingston. He has also been accused of orchestrating the shooting of Tupac Shakur at Quad Studios. Pac himself named Henchman as the perpetrator of the shooting in his song “Against All Odds.” Last year, convicted murdered Dexter Isaac confessed to the shooting and said he committed the crime under the orders of Henchman.
