Barely 24 hours after news broke that Trent Reznor was splitting from longtime manager Jim Guerinot of Rebel Waltz, the Nine Inch Nails mastermind landed new management with Silva Artist Management, which counts Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, Ryan Adams and Beck among its stable of clients.
The Orange County-based Rebel Waltz represents Gwen Stefani, No Doubt, the Offspring and Robbie Robertson. As of Monday, Dec. 9, links to Nine Inch Nails and How to Destroy Angels, Reznor’s band with wife Mariqueen Maandig, were removed from the company’s website.
John Silva is a respected industry veteran who got his start working with Nirvana back when Kurt Cobain was still sleeping on Dave Grohl‘s floor. He, along with his Gold Mountain Entertainment business partner, Danny Goldberg, got the band signed to Geffen Records, and Silva has represented Grohl, now frontman for rock stalwarts Foo Fighters, for the entirety of his adult career.
Grohl and Reznor also happen to be close friends and members of their own mutual admiration society. In 2012, Grohl wrote about his reverence for Reznor on THR.com. Read it here.
Nine Inch Nails currently is on tour and today announced a headlining spot at the Vive Latino Festival in Mexico City.
